Talk about light like a designer, fit like a joiner
A shutter is two crafts in one object. Choosing it well is a designer's job: which blade, which tilt, which material for how this room takes its afternoon. Fitting it well is a joiner's job: square in an unsquare opening, split lined through with the sash, blades moving as one from the first touch. Most window-covering shops are strong at one of those crafts. We built this business to be judged on both.
Being specialists shapes the advice you get. We will tell you when a room does not need shutters, when a cheaper blade does the same job, and when your money should go to the west windows first and the south windows never. A specialist can afford that honesty; a catalogue cannot.
How the work runs
- You enquire through the form, with as little or as much detail as you have. The 5pm Test can rough out your answers first if you like.
- We measure at your place: every opening checked for size and square, samples held up in your light, options talked through without hurry.
- You get a written quote, per window, with our straight recommendation, and real dates for making and fitting. No obligation, and staging the job room by room is normal.
- The work is made and fitted by people who do this for a living, and we walk every window with you before we call it finished.
Why the form, not a phone number
Shutters are a considered purchase and nothing about them is urgent, so we run our front door through the enquiry form rather than a phone queue. It means your details, your suburb and your windows arrive written down, correctly, and the time we would spend on hold-music logistics goes into measures and fitting instead. You will hear back promptly about a measure time, and from the measure onward you are dealing with people, in your house, at your bench.
What you will not find here: invented star ratings, a "trusted since" year we cannot show you, or a testimonial wall we typed ourselves. The work is the reference. Start with one wet room if you want to judge us cheaply first; that is what it is for.
